What is a Support Coordinator? What do you do?

A Support Coordinator is like a guide who helps you make the most of your NDIS plan. We work alongside you (and your family or carers if you’d like) to make sure your plan is not just a document, but something that truly works for your life.

Here’s what that means in everyday terms:

  • Explaining your plan: NDIS plans can feel confusing, with lots of words and sections. I take the time to go through your plan with you, in plain language, so you understand what supports you can use and how they fit your goals.

  • Finding the right supports: You don’t have to figure it out on your own. I connect you with services and providers that meet your needs, whether that’s therapy, personal care, community activities, or something else. My job is to match you with the right people and organisations.

  • Making things easier: Instead of you having to make lots of phone calls or send endless emails, I can help coordinate appointments, link providers together, and make sure everyone is on the same page. This reduces stress for you and your family.

  • Building your confidence: Over time, I’ll help you learn how to manage more parts of your plan if you want to. The goal is for you to feel more independent and in control of your supports.

  • Problem-solving: If something isn’t working, maybe a provider isn’t the right fit, or your needs change, I help you adjust things quickly so your supports continue to work for you.

  • Preparing for reviews: When it’s time for an NDIS plan review, I can help gather reports, check progress, and make sure you’re ready to show the NDIS what you need going forward.

In short: a Support Coordinator is here to walk beside you, reduce the stress of navigating the NDIS, and make sure your supports truly support YOU.

What’s the difference between a Support Coordinator and a Plan Manager?

  • Support Coordinator: helps you use your plan, find providers, and coordinate supports.

  • Plan Manager: pays invoices and tracks budgets.
    Many participants have both.

Support Coordinator

  • A Support Coordinator helps you use your NDIS plan in everyday life.

  • We explain your plan and make sure you understand your options.

  • We connect you with providers (like therapists, support workers, or community programs).

  • We coordinate all the moving parts so things work smoothly together.

  • We help build your confidence so you feel more independent in managing your supports.

  • We check in along the way and help problem-solve if something isn’t working.

  • Think of us as your guide through the NDIS maze, making sure the plan on paper actually turns into real, helpful supports in your life.

Plan Manager

  • A Plan Manager is more like an accountant or bookkeeper for your NDIS plan.

  • They receive invoices from your providers.

  • They check that the invoices are correct and in line with your plan.

  • They pay your providers on your behalf.

  • They send you regular budget updates so you know how much funding you have left.

  • A Plan Manager does not organise your supports or decide which services you use, their role is purely about managing the money.

What are your business hours?

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm.
I aim to reply to enquiries within 1 business day of the above days and hours.

What is your waitlist time?

Wait times can vary. If I’m at capacity, I’ll offer a waitlist estimate and/or trusted alternatives. I’ll never over-promise, your time and outcomes matter.

What if I’m unhappy with a service or want to change providers?

You have the right to choose your providers at any time. I can help you address concerns, change providers smoothly, and keep your supports on track.

Can you help with plan reviews?

Absolutely. I help you prepare evidence, gather reports, and reflect on outcomes. We’ll clarify goals, identify gaps, and develop clear requests for the best chance of getting the supports you need.

Do you work with children and young people?

Yes, with appropriate consents from parents/guardians and a child-safe approach. I coordinate with schools and paediatric providers where helpful and agreed.
